Excellent Value

At less than half the price of the Simms wading staff, and of comparable or better quality, this wading staff provides excellent value while getting the job done. My only complaint is that ‘one size does not fit all’ & the staff was a bit tall for me, requiring a 7” modification. Would be nice if it was offered in shorter & taller versions. Beyond that, no issues!

Staff worked as advertised, it was very easy to take out of holster and set up.

I lost the top knob the first day using even after I thought I locked it in place, it came off & floated down the river. I would not give it a A in heavy duty wading which I do often if the lower section gets stuck in between rocks or in mud the staff will pull apart. I am an old guy and still a serious wader that needs 100% reliability. It works well for stability and balance but in heavy water when it would be needed the most I would not trust it. I would also recommend a small rubber tip, the metal noise on rocks when wading does not make for stealth fishing!

Very nice—does its job..

Wonderful, but you need to purchase gear to attach it to your belt. It does not come with the staff. The rubber handle slid off and I had to epoxy it in place. Minor.

I like the sturdy construction of the staff as well as the comfortable handle with the added camera mount. I have field tested and it served me well. I enjoy the foam holder it comes with. The only negative thing was when I put the staff together it was the perfect height for someone much taller. I had to remove one section and is now perfect. I am 5'9". Instructions would have been helpful. But I really like my staff and found it to be a great value for the money.
