The Rt.1 Special is named after Florida State Hwy Route 1, which parallels the south eastern coast of Florida and connects the Keys with many bridges. The Rt.1 special is made from soft flowing, but durable synthetic materials for a lot of life-like action in the water. By some standards the Rt.1 Special is a larger than average bonefish fly. It suites the larger bonefish found in Florida, Bahamas and Cuba. It also appeals to Redfish and Snook. It is complete with a stiff Mono weed-guard and fishes well on mangrove edges.
