So, they created the newly released 11'7" - #5-weight Platinum! You'll find a sweet spot between 250-300 grains depending on your line choice. Fish Redsides on the Deschutes employing soft hackles on a floating line, or sculpins and crayfish patterns on...

There is little more addicting in the angling world than swinging a fly and coaxing a take from a bright Steelhead or Salmon that has just entered a coastal river system. Fresh in from the ocean these fish can take many casts to find, and a lot of skill and luck to land. A rugged coastal stream with a steep gradient can make the challenge even more intense. The Beulah 12' 4" - #8-weigh was designed to meet this challenge. Light yet stout, this rod will allow you to cast in tight quarters using...

The Beulah Platinum Spey Rod series offers a traditional flex pattern that loads deep into the butt section, with a fast tip recovery to ensure accurate tracking. Extremely light in hand, Beulah Platinum Series Spey rods are constructed on new mandrels and are made with a lower (28%) resin count Carbon scrim process that brings the overall blank weight down. Beulah Platinum Spey rods use three different modulus types of graphite and boron stringers to produce unique rod actions. Additionally, Beulah uses a high pressure rolling technique that produces better overall blank consistency. Platinum Spey rods are classically appointed with four color thread wraps, custom anodized reel seats, and hand selected Portuguese cork burls. Now more than ever whether you prefer fast or moderate action, short or long, light or strong Beulah has an incredibly well built two-hand fly rod for you at an exceptional value. Each Beulah Platinum Spey rod comes complete with a fabric covered hard case and soft fabric rod sock.

At The Fly Fishing Shop, we started experimenting with the Beulah Platinum Spey series in August of 2008. We were camped on the Deschutes River. Bruce berry handed me a 6126 Platinum that was complete with reel and line. I caught a little steelhead the first morning I fished it. It is a great rod and I'm still fishing with it nine years later. It is also one of the favorite rods with my clients, because it is lightweight and so easy to cast. Beulah Platinum Spey Rods are proven designs that are as popular as ever.
