G. Loomis NRX Saltwater Travel Rods

These rods have been great, dependable companions on man of my saltwater adventures. It isn't hard to tell if is an NRX, they're the rods with the blue wraps. If you are a saltwater angler, you gotta' love blue. The dorado below was hooked in water four feet deep, ten feet from some mangroves. It tore off 250 yards of backing in the first run grey hounding as it went. It was landed in 15 minutes. The larger dorado below was hooked while it was cruising about three feet deep, but in water that was over 1,000 feet deep. It took over an hour and a half to land. Both fish were landed with the same NRX 12-weight.

NRX,s build incredible line speed, concise casting accuracy and are very durable. After many years they are still as good as any fly rod series out there. There is no better word than proven. If you like big fish, you better go with an NRX.
