RIO introduces the GrandSpey™, the finest long belly spey line on the market and based on a very true and tested taper. In 1895, Alexander Grant cast a

massive 195 feet with his design of a continuous taper line. Rio improved the front taper from this original design so that it easily casts big flies and sink tips, as well as adding a body and back taper. The end result is a spey line that is designed to do one thing — cast long distances. The GrandSpey is ideal for the caster who prefers not to shoot line, but to fish in the traditional method of cast and swing. This line is recommended for the more advanced spey caster.
